Fixing Imported Journals

This is a fix for journals that were imported from the old Ovusoft.com to your personal group at TCOYF.com

Because the journals are SO huge, there was no way to import each as one thread. Instead we made one thread per month. We imported everything around Halloween, then on 11/6 we imported from 11/1-11/6. The imports on 11/6/09 attached to an old thread, which is now the top thread. So, the top thread you see *is* jumbled, but all of the other threads should be in chronological order.

To fix it:

• From the newest thread we created, copy all of the posts from November into a NEW thread (it should only be 5-6 days worth of posts)
• After those posts are copied to a new thread, use your moderator tools at the bottom right to DELETE those posts from the jumbled thread. (You all have moderator tools in the groups you own)
• Because the threads are sorted by newest post date, once that jumbled thread has the NEW posts deleted, it will pop back into where it should be chronologically

Lastly, because you OWN your group, you're the moderator. You can edit ANY post, not just your own. So you can go back and edit each thread to give it a new title (such as "October 2009" or "Journal Part 1" or whatever else you want), even if the first post wasn't yours. You will need to add edit/delete notes when you take moderator action - putting "journal" in the box is fine.
