idk about low proges i have low proges but ive never had that happen...have you poas ??? i thk you shoul your 15dpo and above the CL
This is last month's chart. I haven't quite finished this month's, though I've been spotting since 6dpo (I'm now 9dpo). I'm just trying to figure this all out before next cycle...
I think it does... I have spotting like yours and i've been trying to figure it out. Check out this chart.... she was diagnosed with low progesterone and has tons of spotting www.tcoyf.com/.../1449271.aspx. I usually start spotting at 5 -6 DPO, but for the past two cycles i've taken npc starting 3DPO. I'm at 8 DPO for this cycle, and so far no spotting, so i have my fingers crossed. here's my current chart www.tcoyf.com/.../7.aspx
I spoke with my Doctor yesterday (well, i spoke with the nurse who spoke with my doctor) and "she isn't concerned." They're not interested in testing me yet, so I don't really know what to do.
Did you just start the npc on your own? How did you determine when and how much to use? Any thoughts on B vitamins?
I know how you feel - I know "something" is causing my INSANE amounts of spotting, and I've ruled out pretty much everything except possible low progesterone? I have several days of spotting throughout LP and especially in the days leading up to AF. Sometimes I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between "spotting" and AF if it wasn't for the day-of-AF-cramps! My doctor wasn't interested in testing me either. His reasoning was that my temps (like yours) were high above the CL so low progesterone isn't likely.... I don't know what to tell you except that if you're worried about getting a BFP, there are a lot of women on this site who got pregnant and had healthy babies despite spotting - I know because I posted some threads to ask! On the other hand, I know how frustrating it is to have annoying spotting every LP, not know the cause, not know if it affects fertility and/or a pregnancy, and not have the doctor agree to do what seems to be a very simple little test?! Send me a message if you want to discuss further - I'll send you my charts and maybe we can bounce ideas off each other?
I did just start the npc on my own. I got it at whole foods, and I use it 3x day, 10 mg each time ( so 30 mg/day total). being a scientist, i do measure it out, but 10 mg is about the size of 2 peas. there are also instructions on the cream, of 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per day, which are basically equivalent to the amount that I use. I start it after i'm sure that I've ovultated (3DPO) and I end it at 14 DPO. I've read that if you do get a BFP, you should keep using the progesterone through the first trimester, because stopping can cause a miscarriage due to drop in progesterone. last cycle, my progesterone level at 7DPO was 9, but it was while i was using the npc. I've read online that 10 - 15 is considered a good level for maintaining pregnancy.
Michelle763, it is true that you can get pregnant while spotting, i've seen lots of charts like this in the 'implantation spotting' gallery, but it does make me nervous that maybe my uterine lining is not as intact during spotting.
oh, and i also tried a B50 complex vitamin for a month before i tried the npc, but it didn't seem to make a difference. i still take it, just in case.
Thank you all so much for your comments! I'm still at a loss as to what to do. Not sure if I want to start treating a condition I don't know I have. DH is so easy about it all, it's nice to come home and discuss all of this with him and hear his "wait and see" philosophy...of course, I'm not that girl!
Take a look at this month's chart....I'm going nuts!
your chart this month looks really good! at least your spotting stopped before the end of the month... but no AF yet? you could still get BFP, and I hope this month is the one for you!!! if you don't get BFP this month, maybe a B complex vitamin next month would work for you. GL!
the verdict it still out for me and the npc...i did have two days of spotting so far, but its less than usual. i'll post my chart in a few more days to get some opinions on if its working.
Aghh! My spotting has returned and I still have BFN! No AF yet, but this is ridiculou's. And to top it all off, my hair stylist today was like, "Do you have thyroid issues? Your hair feels like my clients' with thyroid problems." So now I'm just crazy lady without a plan...
huh... maybe you o'd a little later than you thought, on CD 16 or 17? opks can be nice to help pinpoint the exact day, i just started using them for that exact reason. and crazy about your hairdresser! I'm not sure if I would be offended or grateful...or probably both. do you have any other symptoms that suggest thyroid issues?
Well, regardless of when I O'd, AF came on Monday. Here's to a new cycle! Look for my crazy questions and such in about 3 weeks!
Definitely on the fence about the stylist's comment. Hoping we're all wrong and I don't have any hormonal issues. I'm traveling for work this week and couldnt' get in anywhere for CD3 testing. Hoping an appointment I made with my GP later this cycle will be close enough to 7DPO for a progesterone level to be meaningful...OB still isn't interested in testing.
Good luck and baby dust to all! I'll start another post later this month to update anyone who's interested.
i have had long spotting like that, turned out it was a uterine polyp. my gyn says its a very common explanation for the long spotting. have your dr. do an ultrasound to check for it. not painful to have it removed. i was going crazy trying to diagnose myself too.
