Lean PCOS - TTC #1 at age 33

Description:
My husband and I have been TTC #1 for 2 years. Infertility workup showed that I have a lean PCOS picture (in terms of my LH:FSH ratio) and long, irregular cycles. After a year, I initially tried Clomid but stopped it after 3 cycles as it caused thinning of my endometrial lining which can prevent implantation. I just finished my 2nd month of Femara, but nothing yet. So frustrating ...

Sorry to hear that.  I have PCOS too - I did two cycles of Clomis, and it gave me cysts and thinned my lining too.  I am going to start injectibles this round (Follistim and Ovidril).  Do you think maybe you O'd on cd 18?  Your OPK and CM indicate you O'd on 14th, but your temps are a little low until the 18th.  Do they have you on progesterone?

Thanks for the encouragement!  I'm using ClearBlue ovulation monitor in addn to taking my temps so based on that it seems that ovulation was around cd 14, but I see what you are talking about ....  I'm not on progesterone

Hi Bloom55,

Just curious, did you ever get an official diagnosis of PCOS?  And were you on the pill previously?  I'm just wondering because I am in the same boat (LH:FSH ratio is higher than 1 and I'm lean).  I went off the pill in Jan and my cycles are around 50-60 days long, so the doc tested my hormones and "diagnosed" me with PCOS.  I am starting to truly believe that being on the pill can mess with your hormones and cycles for much longer than we think.  I am seeing so many women with these same symptoms that were on the pill.  Just curious!  Good luck,

Melinda
