Miracle baby 1 - the hilarious Edward born 28 March 2008
After having our first baby in 2002 without issue, we experienced an ectopic pregnancy on her second birthday. The pregnancy was dealt with by injections of methotrexate as I had lost one ovary in 1992 as a result of a cyst. We tried and tried to conceive again but without joy. Obviously I searched high and low and read everything I could lay my hands on to see if there was anything I could do to help with the situation.
In January 2007 I can across TCOYF. I was skeptical at first but got the book and read it from cover to cover in one sitting. So with photocopies taken I started on my journey. I charted where I could and began to see a pattern and by April 2007 I was pregnant - joy of joys!
Unfortunately, this was another ectopic again dealt with the injection. The doctors investigated and by July we were told that we would probably not have another baby naturally. We were devastated.
However, by August I was dreadfully unwell. We did a test - I was pregnant again. I checked my chart as I had continued to do them and bingo right on the dates predicted as high fertility we had conceived. Edward was born in March 2008, healthy and lively!
Our miracle baby! Never expecting a second miracle we took few precautions and in March 2009 I was expecting again. Again I checked my charts as I had continued to do them so I could predict my monthly visit and low and behold there the dates were again - right in the middle of high fertility.

I am keeping it for my two daughters to read when they are old enough, I guess my son might benefit from a read too!
