This is the first time I have seen ovulation confirmed on a chart, and it's also the first time in my life I have had a normal length cycle! I have been using a bio-identical progesterone cream along with Vitex to help balance my hormones. Just wanted to offer some encouragement to otherS out there with PCOS....it is possible!!

BFP after 18 months TTC!!!!!

I really can't believe it so I keep on testing! Technically there's a little more variation in my temps going by 100th of a degree, but this is quite close to accurate. I have heard a lot of different things about flat temps, but I'm not sure what to think except that it seems my hormones are staying where they are...

I was thinking about starting opks, but with PCOS I don't know if it will be a waste of money since many women get positives throughout their cycle due to high LH.

btw, I accidentally entered the temp for the 14th and can't make it go away. I hope that I will be increasing the temp for that day when we get there! :)

first cycle with Metformin

my LP is normally 7.

PCOS, 1000 mg Metformin to treat PCOS, extra long 50 day cycle, short luteal phase, low basal temps, a few instances where it looks like my body was trying to ovulate before actually doing so, ovulating on a travel day (timing fail!), spotting here and there, TONS of EWCM over the course of the cycle, and possible low progesterone, if you go by temps. It'll be interesting to see what the next cycle will bring. I am posting this because for 10 months I have be so discouraged with trying to get pregnant with PCOS. I have been checking out the PCOS posts and it is discouraging when you don't see anyone getting pregnant and when you see the rollercoaster temperatures. Here's to rollercoaster temps still resulting in pregnancy!Let me start by saying I was on BCP for about 10 years, went off 11/2010. I got one period in 12/2010 and then did not get another period until 8/2011. I was determined to do this without drugs or fertility. Everyone tried to discourage me, but I was determined. I started acupuncture in 2/2011 and then she added herbs in 6/2011. I also cleaned up my diet, for the most part I didn't anything that was processed and ate foods that were "real" (fruits, veggies, hormone free meats/poultry, potatoes, rice, nuts, natural pb. When I ate bread or pasta it was whole grains. After changing my diet, I got my period 1 month later (after about a 200 day cycle). So I continued on my healthy path and this month I ovulated and now I'm pregnant!!! It doesn't feel real. I have my first appt next Monday, they want to do a dating ultrasound b/c of my 50 day cycle b/c of course they don't believe me that I know the day I conceived..Lol!

Lean PCOS - TTC #1 at age 33

My husband and I have been TTC #1 for 2 years. Infertility workup showed that I have a lean PCOS picture (in terms of my LH:FSH ratio) and long, irregular cycles. After a year, I initially tried Clomid but stopped it after 3 cycles as it caused thinning of my endometrial lining which can prevent implantation. I just finished my 2nd month of Femara, but nothing yet. So frustrating ...
