If there is a problem with progesterone production in the latter phase of your cycle, you will probably be prescribed a natural version of it.

In order for a fertilized egg to have a chance to implant and mature, the corpus luteum must maintain the latter phase of the cycle for at least 10 days. In addition, once pregnancy occurs, it must continue to live long enough for the developing placenta to take over the function of providing nutrition for the embryo. If you have been prescibed progesterone and are currently using it please place your chart in the Taking Progesterone Gallery. I had a very slow rise in temperature after I ovulated and then my temperatures began to drop. I am taking 200mg of Prometrium at night but I don't think my body is responding to the medication like it should. I feel like another cyst has come up on my left ovary because I am having the same kind of pain on my left side as I have been having on my right side where I know there is a 2cm cyst on my ovary. I have struggled with my progesterone for a year now. We are scheduled to our RE as soon as I start my period so for once I am glad that I am starting my period so they can figure out what is going on with my body. Just wanted to post this chart in case it helped someone.

do these temps look ok?

pre-ovulaton is anywhere from 36.1-36.4,post ovulation is normally 36.5-36.8 but usually 35.6 or 36.7.Are these temps post ovulation high enough?Do I still have any chance this month with these temps?

Advice pls?

Do I have low progesterone... Our fist took us 6 months, so we started out Charting with the second but with him and all our others we got prego the month before trying.
This whole year I have had a bit shorter cycles and periods only 3 days instead of 5-6, but with 2-3 days of spotting first then the period. I brought it up with my family Dr who takes care of my Thyroid meds in May and they ran some extra tests and found nothing, then again at my OB yearly appt since I was there anyway and she also ran tests but found nothing, so I didn't worry. Now I'm thinking it may be but not sure if I should wait another month to chart and show Dr or just take this in. I did start B6 last month and that helped this month look more normal, but I am pretty sure I already had one early M/C 2 months ago and really would like to have this figured out. Up until this year I have been a clockwork cycle same times each month etc. Any advice or help would be wonderful, thanks!

Quit temps, 1st cycle after mc, 2nd cycle TTC, BFP

32yo, TTC#3, 1st cycle after mc, 2nd cycle total, used prometrium after ovulation this month. We are really excited and hopeful this one will stick with God's help. Last month's mc was first month after 3 years of birth control pill and my numbers were 1.8 for progesterone and 69 for hcg at 16DPO, so this one looks MUCH better. I've never had a cycle like this before. My BBT usually increases until 3-5 DPO and then levels out around 97.9F. However, this time it's decreasing every day! I know I'm still 3 tenths above the coverline, but I'm worried that my progesterone may be low in this cycle. I also have had uterine cramps that started yesterday and a faint brown tint to CM, but not enough to call it spotting. My LP usually lasts 10-11 days. Has anyone experienced this before and conceived? If so, what did you do to correct it, if necessary? Thanks so much!

Low progesterone

Doctor tested my progesterone at 7 dpo and it was 5.4.
