The typical annovulatory chart has temperatures which zig-zag up and down throughout the cycle in no apparent pattern. Cervical mucus may be present on and off throughout the entire cycle as well. Spotting and long periods may also be associated with annovulatory cycles, although the presence of either of these conditions alone does not indicate an annovulatory cycle. A single annovulatory cycle is not a cause for concern, but if they occur frequently they may indicate an underlying fertility problem that should be addressed by a healthcare professional.

This section is for completed charts demonstrating the above characteristics. This section is not intended for questions. If you have questions concerning an incomplete chart feel free to share your chart in the Charting Questions gallery. Click on a link to view the charts:

Am I not ovulating?

Please Comment

The only two high temps were fevers - no ov seen...

Ugh - such a bummer. Huge bummer. This was the first anov cycle since I've been charting, and now I'm worried again this cycle...will O ever come? Say what you want about the TWW, I think waiting to O is the WORST!! Do you agree this is anovulatory? My CM/CP signs said I'd ovulated but my temperature told a different story. This cycle was longer than usual and I had small amounts of EWCM on and off during the luteal phase. I'd appreciate your comments!!

this sucks

This cycle was long

so much job stress - no O

evidence that stress impacts a cycle -- working 80+hr/week in a high-stress job has definitely inhibited my ovulation.

Annovulatory with ruptured ovarian cyst

I had a cyst on my right ovary throughout this cycle. A couple of times, I geared up to O, but never made it. The first high temp (disturbed) was because I was running what was, for me, a fever (sinus infection). The second disturbed temp was because I woke up at noon (!) after a late night. On cycle day 27, I had a temp drop, as you can see. I thought I was just going to have a bleed (not a period--since I didn't ovulate), but instead, my cyst ruptured. I was in a great deal of pain, writhing on the floor, vomiting, shaking uncontrollably, and breaking out in cold sweats. I nearly blacked out. The pain subsided after about an hour and bleeding began shortly thereafter.

Second Cycle Post BCP - Annovulatory

Second cycle charting post-BCP after 10 years on the pill.
