Yea!!! I'm in the home stretch! :))) I've got about 15 days to go (give or take). I've started getting some random BHs but nothing conclusive. I'm definitely ready for this little guy to come....too bad my house isn't! I need to tie up some loose ends around the house before he gets here, but I am ready for the heartburn and pelvic pain to be a thing of the past ;)

How are you ladies doing? Who's still pregnant from the Sept/Oct thread? Anyone have a Halloween baby? :)

YAY!! Finally, November being recognized!! I am having a scheduled c/section on 11/14 which is a day after my due date! Sorry, I am repeating myself as I started giving my story when the group hadn't been updated to November/December yet!!

Anyway, quite anxious about going into labor early. My doctor says it's highly unlikely since I'm a first time mom! However, at 38 weeks, I'd like to know SOMETHING is progressing. I wish I'd at least lose my mucus plug.

I am continuing to have a lot of menstural like cramping during position changes and while walking. Going to hop on the treadmill today and see if I can get something going.

Hi Ladies!  I'm 37 wks 1 day.  Went to the dr yesterday and everything looks good.  She didn't check me, but baby's heart rate was about 150 and he is squirming all around.  :)  I keep getting these miserable lower back pains - they really hurt and come in waves - and then they go away after 20-30 minutes.  Not sure what they are - have never had back pains with previous pregnancies/labors.  Dr says baby is head down, but I'm hoping he's facing the right direction!

Still getting baby's room settled and everything washed.  My church threw me a shower the other night and it was so fun and sweet of them.  Have you ever played the diaper/chocolate game?  That was fun!

Have you packed for the hospital yet? I should probably start a bag - I have a list at least :)

Woo, November! I've got 10 days to go and nothing seems to be going on right now, besides an explosion of stretch marks and the same BH contractions I've had for a while. Kiddo's still really squirmy!

So excited this group is up now!  I'm 35 weeks today with number 2.  My due date is 12/6/2011 but I think my daughter will be here by thanksgiving, or at least I'm hoping!  My son came just shy of 37 weeks.  My doc says she won't let me give birth before 37 weeks unless my water breaks so hoping to at least make it that far, but would prefer more like 38 weeks once my mom is here to take care of DS.  Watch, I've jinxed myself and she'll not come until Dec now Stick out tongue.  Lots more braxton hicks this time around, some a little crampy, and whole belly ones this time too.  So tired as of this week.  I feel my body gearing up so we'll see what happens.  I do have my bag packed for the most part.  I learned my lesson after DS! You never know when they'll come!  Looking forward to the pics and birth stories from all the ladies these next couple months!

Oh goody, we're live!   Due on 11/19.  Tired, excited, anxiously waiting.  Baby #4 for us.  Other three went, 4 days late, on due date and 5 days late.   Expect much of the same from this little one but I'd love if baby came early so I could be home and settled before Thanksgiving.  We have 3 boys and this one is a surprise.  I'll be happy and grateful with whatever this little one is.

As far as symptoms go, none to report really.  My labors have typically started off with slight cramps that progress slowly (like all day long) from there.  So I'm trying to tune into things and pause every now and again to see if I am feeling any cramps but nothing yet.  Maybe TMI here but had a major "clear out" this morning and was thinking that might be a sign but nothing.

Looking forward to waiting out the next few weeks with you all.

Hey ladies! I'm due 12/2 with baby #4 (Baby) and planning my fourth homebirth! My other babies were born between 39 weeks and 40+1, so I expect this baby to come around that time as well. Although, at 35 weeks on the dot out of the blue my oldest said, "Mama, the baby is coming in three weeks." I'm not going to place a whole lot of stock in a 4 y/o's prediction Stick out tongue but hey you never know!

I've noticed a dramatic increase in BHs and cramps and the multiple times a day BMs have started. That's pretty normal for me in the last weeks. I am feeling surprisingly good. I've been going to a chiro this pregnancy and it has eased the terrible back pain.

I'm happy to be here with you ladies!

Had two break downs today.  Not saying I was crying about nothing but in hind sight they were silly, pretty minor things.  Also had to have a 2 hour nap.  Had a routine doc appointment this morning - oh at which, I almost had another breakdown because they kept me waiting for a 1/2 hour after my appointment time, I think that's when things started to go down hill.

Anyone else feeling very emotional?  This really isn't like me and I know it's mainly hormone related.  I hate feeling so "girlie".  Need to keep it together.

Oh yes hope2have4soon! I am completely off my rocker!!

Nothing new to report here. I continue to have cramping while walking. I tried to hop on the treadmill today to see if I could get things moving..no such luck, just more cramping! I wish I could at least lose my mucus plug so I knew SOMETHING was going on!!

I have been done with work now for 1 week and have never been so up to date on laundry before in my life! Such a good feeling!

I'm trying to mentally prepare myself to 'share baby' after he is here. I'm a first time mom and am feeling very overwhelmed by people that want to come and see us already. My in-laws retired 2 hours away and husband is feeling 'bummed' because he doesn't feel they can participate for the first weeks of baby's life. I keep telling him that baby will be sleeping, eating and pooping. In a moment of weakness, I told him that if they could find a different relative to stay with locally, they could do day trips. Now I am regretting that because I am envisioning them spending hours on end at my home during the first few weeks...and I seriously have no idea what they will do!! I am too OCD to let them touch my cleaning/cooking and baby I'm assuming will be sleeping?? Plus, I just carried this kid for 9 months and I've always had issues with sharing!

That's my drama and emotional stuff that I'm dealing with! I keep telling myself 'this won't matter 2 months from now.........'

Hope everyone is feeling great!

I didn't lost my mucous plug until hours into labor with my last baby. It surprised me because with my first two I lost it on and off the day before going into labor. So, you may not see it at all, and if you don't it doesn't mean nothing is happening. Smile

I hate sharing my new babies as well. In fact, I really don't all that much, hehe. First visits are kept short and certain people we don't allow around for a couple weeks. It is totally ok to put limits in place. This is your baby and you will only have this time with him once! Flowers

I'm feeling very emotional too and oh so tired.  I'm glad the nesting kicked in at 30 weeks b/c there isn't much I feel like doing now at all.  The cramping, BHs, and pressure is increasing - does anyone else feel like someone is scraping their cervix with their fingernails throughout the day??  ugh sorry if that is TMI but it isn't a very nice feeling!

I can completely relate to the not wanting to share baby thing.  I've felt that way about all of mine and I even have a hard time thinking about sharing with my kids - who I know are going to want to hold the baby lots too!  (isn't that horrible of me!?)  It makes me glad to nurse the baby b/c I'm the only one who can do that and it guarantees me lots of time with him!  :)

forgot to add - through 4 labors, I only saw my mucous plug once and I was 4 cm dilated with one before active labor and 8 with another.   So although I'm checking constantly too, don't let it worry you :)

I definitely have my emotional moments too.  I really find myself having less patience with my son, which makes me feel bad, so I try to be aware but I know the hormones don't help.

I lost my mucous plug with DS about a week before my water broke.  I noticed it the afternoon after my first cervical check.  I don't know if the two were related or not.  I am constantly checking too.  I am soooo paranoid about going early, especially my water breaking.  I even had a dream where I was having to prepare for a tsunami about to hit.  I just wish I could somehow assume it won't happen this time.  My doc seems to think it won't, but how can you know?  Ugh.  I thought I felt something last night but I think I was just dreaming cause when I checked there wasn't anything.  I know I need to relax about it but its hard.  Especially with the sudden menstrual type cramping I've been having, which I had on and off for over two hours yesterday plus bowels being more active. I didn't have any of that with DS until I was going into labor.  I wish there was a reliable way to predict when baby is going to come!

I totally understand not wanting to share baby too.  With my DS I just wanted to have him near me all the time.  I had a really hard time with him not being in me anymore.  I remember holding my belly and crying while I was still in the hospital, even though he was right in the bassinet thing next to me.  That separation was hard.  I feel like it will be easier this time but we'll have to see.  Just make sure you get the time you need with that baby because you did carry them for 9 months and people need to think about that and understand that you aren't just going to want to hand your newborn off for hours at a time.

Oh, I forgot to say that I too feel my little one attacking my cervix!  It is so uncomfortable when it happens and I find myself bracing for a pop because the pressure can get intense too!  I don't remember having this with DS at all, but glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this.

How's everyone doing? I'm tired, but not feeling too bad. I think I actually got a 4-5 hour stretch of sleep last night! Yes

I'm doing OK. Baby is moving around regularly, heartburn and acid reflux haven't killed me...yet Laugh

I'm about 7-9 days out from my due date window...my mom will be arriving on Tuesday from the states to spend 2 weeks here with us (although she'll be in a hotel not our apartment LOL). I haven't had a lot of action to speak of...no plug, bloody show, BH are few and far between and swelling isn't too bad. No sign of pre-e this time around so far (protein in urine 0.11 at my last urine analysis, so I'll be getting another one on Tuesday morning). And I have my last 'scheduled' OB appt. on Thursday. I'm hoping either something was going on and my cervix is opening or she proposes to strip membranes or induce so that I don't go over... :) This baby seems to be on the bigger side LOL

That's my news...just waiting things out and hoping for a VBAC this time around since I'm complication free for the moment.

Just checking in with everyone :)  I'm 38 wks today.  I'm tired, contracting off and on, and feeling sore. Baby is getting big and still very active. :)  I saw the dr today.  I'm GBS+ (blah) :(  She didn't check me or anything so I don't know if I'm anymore dilated, which is probably best.  It would either freak me out or disappoint me most likely.  Still need to get the crib set up for baby and finish writing thank you cards to people who have been dropping off gifts to us.  Oh and probably should get hospital bag packed soon....   Hope everyone else is doing well~~

Hello girls!!!!!!! Here I sit at home wondering what on earth I am going to do today. I swear I am the only one that has a scheduled c-section at 40+1. I know it's what is best for the baby, but I feel so left out that everyone else gets their c-section at 39 weeks! I'm so over not being able to get up easily, lack of sleep (for no good reason!) and the general discomfort. I really thought I would go into labor early (wishful thinking I guess). I'm actually having less cramping/contractions with activity than I was a week ago! Baby does feel lower, but I am still questioning if he's even engaged. I just wish I had some type of activity going on to make me excited!!

Still taking morning power walks at 2-3 miles. Trying to counteract some poor food choices I made over the weekend..not sure if it will help or not!

Thanks for the responses on 'sharing the baby.' Today my hormones seem to be able to handle the concept. However, I am so thankful I'm not alone with my thoughts on that! I am still absolutely dreading the visitors. It's hard because my husband is going to feel great and will want to share the baby with EVERYONE. I plan on telling him that after he had his deviated septum fixed, he didn't necessarily feel like having people around. Imagine #1 carrying a child for 9 months, #2 having it surgically removed from your abdomen and #3 dealing with vaginal bleeding, breast engorgment, hemorrhoids, and constipation too!! Who in their right mind would be up for visitors? Sorry, I know some people love the visitors - I would like to hibernate for a good 2 months after this child comes!
