My 16 month old is 33" tall and 30 lbs.  (my husband is 6'8" so we expected this).  i have been thinking about switching to cloth diapers but most that i see they go up to 35 lbs.  which i don't know if it would be worth investing.  then i thought about getting the ones that are a size large that go up to 38 lbs but then i thought---that's only 8 lbs away.  with disposable diapers we always had to move up to the next size qickly....he's in size 5's right now.  any thoughts on what cloth diaper would work for us?

My DS has always been a porker, but around that age was when he started leveling off on the weight; he's been 32 lbs for the last 8 months (2.5 years now), and has lost most of his milk belly, so his cloth diapers actually fit better than they did before he started running and jumping.

Mother-Ease makes some bigger fitteds with covers that fit over them.  They have a size large from 20-35 lbs and a toddler size from 35-45 lbs.  These might be worth looking into for you.  I just got three of the Sandy's fitteds (size large) for overnight diapers for my son who is now 23lbs at 10 months.  You can find these lots of places.  I like Nicki's diapers because they have a wash, wear,  & return policy where you can return diapers you've tried.  It's pretty nice and other diaper stores don't offer a policy like it.

thanks ladies!  aiden is already thinning out but he's constantly in the 100th percentile for height and weight so who knows how much weight he'll gain.

I have the same problem! DS is 2, VERY tall and 38 lbs. We use the toddler size Mother Ease diapers and love them but he is on the last snap and looking like he is going to have another growth spurt! DS #2 is 5 months, 20lbs and already on the last snaps of the larges . . .

All that to say, love Mother Ease, but I wish their diaper could fit a little bit longer! If anyone finds something for even bigger kiddos I would love to know too!
