Looks like what I thought was implantation spotting on the night of February 13th was an odd timed AF starting (and continuing).
Any naturopathic supplements I can start to lengthen out the luteal phase?
Thank you!

I Would suggest B-complex. Helped me out within just one cycle - I went from 8 days to 12 and the 3rd cycle I got pregnant! It's supposed to regulate hormones and it is just all around good for you. :)

You can take a multi-B vitamin (B6 in particular) to try and help your LP, but some of us do just fine with 9-11 day LPs, even if we spot a bit before AF finally shows. How long have you been TTC prior to starting charting? Are you trying for baby #1? Or do you have kids already?
I'm not an expert, by any means, but I know my midwife told me not to stress out about my 10-day LP, since I had already had a successful pregnancy. She didn't want me to stress myself out over something unless I went 6-12 months without being able to conceive -- then we would look into my LP. But she told me that a 10-day LP (even with spotting) can sustain a viable pregnancy -- and I have 2 pregnancies that vouch for that at least for me :)
GL and to you!!!

Thank you for the input! I'll try the B Complex supplement!
My husband and I have been TTC since the end of 10/2011. I am 99% sure that I had a chemical pregnancy at the end of 11/2011. Then had a 42 day cycle and then now this wacky cycle. Started charting in December.
I've also got low temps but am just charting along trying to get my body figured out!
This will be our first baby when it happens and I am thankful for having found the TCOYF book. Read it through twice now front to back since late December!
You have it marked as spotting on one chart and AF on the next. Did you have ful flow show? Testing 9DPO is too early in the majority of cases. Less than 10 would be considered short and that would have to be a repeating pattern before it was an issue. Even then 9 days can be long enough as the egg has had time to start implanting and kick your hormones into gear.
When the late evening spotting started occurring on 2/13, I thought it was maybe ovulation spotting, but then the falling temperatures continued, so I changed it to Menstruation rather than spotting. Should I have left it as spotting so it was included in the previous cycle?
And yes, I did end up having AF for two days and then just spotting for the few after that along with temperatures staying low. So just the 'ol period.
When I have the Calendar up and am monkeying on there it looks normal. Initially I put the 13, 14, and 15th down as spotting because it wasn't a huge period. But as the temp kept dropping, I changed it to a period so it would start a new cycle for me. But when I look back at the actual chart, it still shows those three days as being spotting. Should be showing it as AF.
If they weren't full flow they are spotting and your temp does not determine the start of your next cycle your flow does. For example if you had three days of spotting plus a drop in temp those days but full flow wasn't until the fourth day the fourth day would still be CD1. If you never had full flow then technically you'd still be in the TWW. Make sure your spotting days are marked spotting and only full flow days are marked menses. You may need to go back to Cd1 of that 2nd cycle and recalculate for everything to show the way it should.
I wouldn't recommend starting any supplements this early in the game. You've not been trying all that long and have only begun charting so there is no way to know if you need any help or not.
I would wait until you have at least three COMPLETE charts under your belt before you look at adding anything because if you add something your body does not need you could end up causing more issues than helping.
So, which days did you have actual flow? I'd adjust both charts so they accurately reflect those days and do as DJ recommended and recalculate each chart from the first day of full flow. To do that go to the calendar page where CD1 is shown and right click. On the menu that pops up select Recalculate from this date and then click yes.
Thank you all for your help!
February 15th was quite heavy flow and close enough for me to call it AF. I've changed it to the only day on my calendar that had actual AF. The rest of the days were spotting {albeit somewhat heavy at times and nothing at others}.
I'm working on a Mac and there isn't a right click option. Is there another way for me to go in and recalculate my mess?
Thank you,Katy
Hold down the ctrl button while clicking the mouse button to "right click" on a mac.
Also, I think if you enable the Rule of Thumb (ROT) on the cycle 2 chart it would ROT CD27 and lower your cover line to 97.9.
Thank you for the input [and Mac how-to!]. Made the changes on both!
